Creative sketchbook nature

As i quite like nature and flowers i thought painting a rose in water colour would be a nice little project. I really like how i have captured the different shades within the rose. I felt like these turned out really well. The detail and how the colours blend work together.

Creative sketchbook face

I tried working on certain parts of the facial features in ink. Just taking a small part of the face and trying to reproduce it. I rather liked how these turned out because the colour has just blended all together. But there are still some defining features with the black ink.

Creative sketchbook lollipop

I like working in pen so i decided to draw a person eating a lollipop in pen. It was rather hard to capture his features but i felt the rest of the body was okay to do.

Creative sketchbook text

Even though text has nothing to do with life drawing i felt i needed a break from drawing people. So i chose a fact that i find quite interesting and drew something that represented it beside it. The other text was a quote i rather liked from a book. I just felt like doodling these in my creative sketchbook as they have meaning to me.

Creative sketchbook faces

I tried to draw some faces in biro/pencil. I felt they turned out okay. Because i thought that they looked rather plain i added some colour behind them to try and bring out the image. The other two faces i drew in ink. I like the quick sketchy feel they give off even in ink.

Creative sketchbook Hand

In my creative sketchbook i decided to try and draw some more hands in different positions. I liked how some of them turned out as even though they were quick sketches they look remotely like the hand i was drawing.

Creative sketchbook challenge

For the start of my creative sketchbook i decided to work with ink. I love blending and making the ink bleed into the water. I started of with two simple scenery's to get me started. I liked how they turned out because they look quite sketchy and rough. It gives off more of a natural look rather than being neat and clean.

Walk cycles in ink

At first i found drawing the silhouette of a walk in ink hard. I found it hard to capture the type of walk i was getting across. Then when i started blacking out the whole body and looking at where the model was positioned it got a little easier. I still don't think i captured the styles of walk very well so this will be something i will have to work on.
